John T. , founder of Santa B. Cause, the Bald Headed Men of America, Cruises With A Cause and an Associate with Patriot Business Coaching. He is a training and motivational professional speaker, who specializes in humor and inspiration. He has been featured on Oprah, Today, CBS Morning Show, CNN Sunday Morning, BBC, Donohue, Fox News Channel, Associated Press and The Rotarian (five times) promoting humanitarian service and self-help organizations. Remember, he was on the cover of May 2011 Issue of The Rotarian!
As a Salvation Army Certified Disaster Volunteer, he and his wife, Jane, have served after Hurricane’s in North Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Lousiana, Galveston, Texas and at WTC Ground Zero. John T. is the recipient of North Carolina’s highest citizen award, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
A Rotarian since 1968, John T. is a member and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Morehead City-Noon. He has served Rotary International as District Governor, Committee Member and Council On Legislation Delegate. As a volunteer Sergeant at Arms he has served as Chief for Conventions, Assemblies and Council on Legislations. He was a keynote speaker at the 2006 International RYLA Convention in Sweden; Group Study Exchange Team Leader and for ten years was a National Polio Immunization Day Volunteer in India.
John T. was co-founder of the International Fellowship of Rotarians with Repaired Hearts. He drives the Presbyterian Van for Wheelchair attendees and delivers Meals on Wheels. He’s on Facebook, Linked-in, Twitter and Skype.
In 1993 he was one of the recipients of Rotary International’s Service Above Self Award. Earlier in 1990 he received The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service Award followed in 1993 The Rotary Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award. During the 2004 Convention in Osaka, Japan, John T. was recognized by TRF as one of three recipients for their “International Service Award for a Polio Free World.” In 2008 he was District 7730’s nominee for The Rotary Foundation’s “Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award.”
He and Jane, are Major Donors and Benefactors of The Rotary Foundation.
